Catholic funeral service Mass will be celebrated for Fannie Adame Cavazos, age 81 of Lamesa, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
A Rosary service is set for Monday, 7:00p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Fannie passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa. She was born on November 17, 1931 in Karnes City, Texas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing "Bingo".
Preceded her in death were her parents, Catarino and Leonor Adame; her son, Robert Cavazos; her grand-daughter, Jackie Conde; one sister, Merced Moreno; two brothers, Mingo Adame and Catarino Adame, Jr.
Survivors include her dauthers, Dora Martinez and son-in-law Fred Martinez of Cedar Park, TX., Beatrice Hernandez and son-in-law Ramon Hernandez, Lucie Hernandez and son-in-law Ismael Hernandez, Mary Gonzales and son-in-law Bobby G. Gonzales, Linda Cavazos and son-in-law Gabriel Lucio, all of Lamesa; her sons, Rudy Cavazos and daughter-in-law LaDae Cavazos, David Cavazos and daughter-in-law Sylvia Benavides, all of Lamesa; the father of her daughters and sons, Ben Cavazos of Lamesa; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Joephine Salinas and Maria Elena Young, both of Harlingen, TX. and Francisca Adame of Elsa, TX.; her brothers, Juan Adame of Lyford, TX., Domingo Adame of Lubbock, TX., Armando Adame of Denton, TX.
