Funeral Services for Georgina "Willie" Conde, age 78 of Lamesa, Texas were held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Northridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Cortez officiating. Burial followed at Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Georgina went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born on October 1, 1934 in Karnes City, Texas. Georgina married Marcos Conde on January 7 , 1953.
Preceded her in death was her husband, Marcos Conde in 1973; her parents, Lee and Flora Cordaway, Sr.; two sisters, Pauline Farias and Emma Perez; three brothers, Pedro Cordaway, Albert Cordaway and Lee Cordaway, Jr.
Georgina Worked at the Spanish Inn Restaurant and then Nurses Unlimited until her retirement. Her hobbies included cooking, sitting outside her front lawn with the family and her cats. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist denomination church.
She is survived by her four sons, Richard Conde and her daughter-in-law, Rachel Conde, Robert Conde and her daughter-in-law Betty Conde, Henry Conde and her daughter-in-law Rose Mary Conde, Mark Torres and her daughter-in-law Nancy Torres, all of Lamesa, Texas; three daughters, Sylvia Conde of Midland, Texas, Hilda Salazar and her son-in-law Hector Salazar, Sr. of Lamesa, Texas, Mary Jane Gonzales and her son-in-law Pete Gonzales of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, Ernest Cordaway of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Corina Barrientes of Karnes City, Texas, Esther Ayala of Harlingen, Texas; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
