Funeral services for Susie Marie Cornett, 88, of Lamesa will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Brother Dee Woolam officiating. Interment will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Sue passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in Lamesa.

She was born January 20, 1926 in Grandview to Burl Temple and Dina Irene (Hamilton) Rhyne. Sue married Mirve Cornett February 27, 1945 in Lamesa. He preceded her in death in 2005. They were married 60 years. Sue was a talented seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She was a loving mother grandmother and a faithful servant of God.

She is survived by her children Ronnie Cornett and wife, Rita of Lamesa, and Cathy Conley and husband, Ricky of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, April Strahan and husband, Sam of Midland, Andrea McCarthy and husband, Shawn of Tulsa, OK, and Ryan Conley of Edmond, OK; and 5 great-grandchildren. Sue is also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Hugh Rhyne, Jack Rhyne, and Mickey Rhyne. The family suggests memorials to Northside Baptist Church, 406 N. 12th St., Lamesa, TX, 79331.
