Funeral Services for Aubrey Davis, 91, of Lamesa will be held on Monday December 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Daniel Armstrong and Bill Rafuse officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 16, 2012 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Aubrey passed away on Wednesday December 12, 2012 in Lamesa.

He was born on September 14, 1921 in Coleman, Texas to Sam A. and Martha (Robertson) Davis. He married Rebecka Allene Salser on April 6, 1947 at First United Methodist Church in Lamesa. She preceded him in death in 2009. They were married for 61 years. Aubrey served in the United States Air Force during WWII having toured in Iran and Egypt. He was an active Gideon for 55 years. He was a retired teacher having taught in Antioch, California. After moving to Lamesa Aubrey drove a school bus back and forth to Lubbock for children attending Regional Day School Program for the Deaf. He also worked at Dal Paso Museum and assisted funeral directors at Branon Funeral Home.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Rafuse and husband, Bill of Michigan, and son, Michael Davis of California; grandchildren, Ryan Fritz of California, Paul Rafuse of Connecticut, Michelle Lamarque of Michigan, James Rafuse of Michigan, Bryan Davis of California, and Martha Blomstrom of Lamesa; brothers, Fred Davis and wife, Dee of Lamesa, and Duard Davis and wife, Loraine of Mineral Wells; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Aubrey is also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Anderson; and an infant sibling.
The family suggests memorials to Gideon Memorial Bible Program PO Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
