Private graveside service for Dorothy Mae Davis, 88, of Lamesa will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Daniel Reese officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.

Dorothy passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 in Lamesa, Texas.

She was born August 11, 1932 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Charles and Camille Starkey.

She married Zephaniah Davis, Jr. January 16, 1952 in Clarendon, Texas. They were married 46 years.

She enjoyed baking, cooking, and playing the piano.

She was a member of First Baptist Church for many years.

Dorothy is survived by her children, David Davis, and wife, Kaylene and daughter, Debra Diane Sheen both of Lamesa; grandchildren, Don Sheen of Midland and Michael Sheen of Lamesa; two great grandchildren, Aubrey Sheen and Carson Sheen. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son in law, Kelly Sheen.

The family suggest memorials to the Kelly Sheen Memorial Scholarship Fund, First United Bank 601 n. 1st, Lamesa, TX 79331.
