PLAINS-Graveside services for Billie Zett (Cude) O'Neal, 84, will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Lamesa Memorial Park Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas. Billie peacefully passed away Sept. 30, 2013, in Yoakum County Hospital after a brief illness.

Billie was born Aug. 29, 1929, in Comanche County to George William and Audrey (Smith) Cude. She attended school in Hico.

Billie married Albert Burnice Dossey in Lamesa, who preceded her in death in November of 1949. She then married John S. Buzz O'Neal in Plains, who also preceded her in death on March 25, 1982.

Billie is survived by three children, Jerry and Carol Dossey of Conroe, Texas, Ronney and Marsha Dossey of Seagraves, Texas, and Brenda Faye O'Neal of Plains, Texas. Also surviving Billie are four grandchildren, Tina Curtis of Conroe, Texas, Shelley and husband Wade Roberts of Seminole, Texas, Kelly Dossey of Humble, Texas, and Christel and husband Eric Boer of Kingwood Texas. Four very special greats were adored by Billie! They include Shelby, Taylor, and Presley Roberts of Seminole, Texas, and Cassie Dossey Salinas of Kingwood, Texas.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Tull Cude of Calf., Tobb Cude of Lamesa, Texas, Jeff Cude, and Arnold Bolton of Carlsbad, N.M., and a sister, Georgia Faye Dossey of Carlsbad, N.M.

Billie had worked at St. Romain's Telephone in Plains, Wilkerson Movie Theaters in Denver City, and Yoakum County Hospital. She had served as director of Yoakum County Senior Citizens' Center, where she later drove the transport van and delivered meals. Billie volunteered as a Pink Lady at Yoakum County Hospital and was a member of the Rebekkah Lodge in Plains. Billie was a busy lady after retiring, enjoying ceramics, embroidering, growing prize-winning roses, and raising dogs. Her family frequently enjoyed her delicious meals and special care packages! Billie avidly enjoyed playing 42, dominoes, bingo, and pool, as well as fishing. She supported all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren's sporting events, and rooted for her beloved Cowboys!

The family expresses gratitude to Dr. Cotton and the staff at Yoakum County Hospital for comforting and caring for our Mema! The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial donations to Yoakum County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary at 415 Mustang, Denver City, TX, or Yoakum County Senior Citizens at 500 N. Ave C , Denver City, TX.
