Graveside services for Emial Douglas, 72, of Lamesa will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at with Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Jim Medley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Emial passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Lamesa at his home surrounded by family.

Emial was born December 24, 1945 to Dennis and Pearl Marie (Bussel) Douglas in Lamesa, Texas. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant. He became co-owner of Automated Controls in 1967. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971 with a bachelor's in science. He married Michal Kinnison on June 7, 2002. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always helping others. Emial is survived by wife, Michal Douglas of Lamesa; children, David Douglas and wife, Heidi of Dublin and Karisa Langley and husband, Jody of Lubbock; grandchildren, Rieken Douglas, Rett Douglas, Dylan Langley, Jadyn Langley, Jada Addison, Rylan Langley and Westyn Addison. He is preceded in death by parents; siblings, Ruby Lacky, "Bud" Dennis Douglas, Robert Douglas, Herman Douglas and Raymond Douglas. Family suggests memorials to a charity of your choice.
