Services for Linda Barron Eastham, 69, of Lamesa will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with David Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Linda passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in Lubbock.


She was born March 2, 1944 in Texas City to Vernon and Gracie (Eastham) Garrett. She married John Dell Barron in June of 1962 in Lamesa. She later married James Robert Eastham Jr. in Lovington, NM; he preceded her in death in December of 2011. Linda graduated from Lamesa High School in 1962. She has been farming on her own in Dawson and Terry Counties since 1994. She enjoyed playing volleyball and riding horses, but she was truly passionate about her grandchildren, and great-grand child.


She is survived by her children, Dana Bennett and husband Joel, Delana Newbrough, Jamie Proctor and husband, Shaine all of Lamesa; brother, Jimmy Garrett and wife, Shirley of Gail; grandchildren, Kiley Bennett of Welch, Kalie Bennett of Lubbock, Cotton Newbrough, Gracen Proctor, Garrison Proctor, and Gretchen Proctor all of Lamesa; great-grandchild, Kensley Bennett of Welch. Linda is also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Diana Hunt; infant brother, Eddy Garrett; and son-in-law, Corey Newbrough.
