Graveside services for Hazel Bufkin Ferguson, 88, of Lamesa will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2007, at Lamesa Memorial Park, with Dr. Roger A. Hubbard officiating, under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Hazel died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, after a short illness and under the care of Odyssey Health Care Hospice.
She was born Feb. 21, 1919, in Ajax, La., to W.F. and Claudia Bufkin. The Bufkins moved to Dawson County in the mid 1920's and resided in the Munger Community. In 1939, she married J.F. Ferguson. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lamesa.
Survivors include: two daughters, Diana Schneider of Lamesa and Lorna Hubbard and husband Roger A. Hubbard of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
