HEREFORD - Billie J. Boren, 81, of Hereford died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Stewart, pastor of Lone Star Cowboy Church of Lubbock, and the Rev. Kyle Streun, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford.
Mrs. Boren was born June 9, 1931, in Tipton, Okla., to Lemuel Albert and Bertha Dill Brock. She married Fred Joy Boren on June 9, 1949, in Mineral Wells.
Survivors include two sons, Jay Boren of Tomball and Wayde Boren of Hereford; a daughter, Cynthia Stewart of Lubbock; three sisters, Gertrude Crocker of Lubbock, Barbara Pack of Stephenville and Mozelle Sims of Seminole; a brother, John Brock of Stephenville; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Hereford, 500 N. Main St., Hereford, TX 79045.
