Alvain Whitley Carroll, 64, of 1506 Yows, was pronounced dead at this home Monday afternoon by Nadean Spinks, justice of the peace.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in West Park Cemetery in Hereford with burial by Minton Mortuary.

Carroll, a resident of Borger for the past 31 years was born March 10, 1911 in Hereford. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Lee of Dumas; a daughter, Mrs. Vonda Maddox of Dumas; a brother, Onias Carroll of Hereford; and two grandsons.
