Final Rites Held For Mr. Casebeer

After an illness of several months, Howard ZeDell Casebeer, 81, died June 13 at the Deaf Smith County Hospital.

Born Oct. 25, 1873 in Ohio, he was married to Frances Powell June 1, 1895 in Greenville.

He came to Texas in 1893 and came to Deaf Smith County in 1923 from Floydada.

A member of the Church of Christ, Mr. Casebeer's funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Rose Wood Chapel of the Gililland Funeral Home. I.V. Davis, minister of the Church of Christ, conducted the service. Interment was made at West Park Cemetery.

Mr. Casebeer is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Casebeer; four sons, Auther Edward of Brownwood, Ray of Los Angeles, Troy of Sunland, Calif., and John of Hereford; five daughters, Mrs. Leroy Johnson of Amarillo, Mrs. Paul Britt of Amarillo, Mrs. Bessie Bridges of Hereford, Mrs. Dick Walker of Hereford and Mrs. Walter Richards of Los Angeles; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
