J.E. Cash Funeral Held On Saturday
Funeral services for James Edward Cash, 57, of 205 Grand, were conducted Saturday morning in Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Gene Suttle, pastor, and the Rev. Doug Manning of First Baptist Church.
Burial in West Park Cemetery was directed by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers were employes of the Texas Highway Department, where Mr. Cash was employed in the maintenance department.
He died at noon Wednesday in a local hospital after a long illness. Born March 8, 1916 at Ryan, Okla., he came to this county from Arkansas in 1954. He married Vida Ellen Parker Sept. 27, 1937 at Enochs, Tex.
She survives him, with three daughters, Ellen Manning and Nita Joyce Cash of Hereford and Sharon Dyer of Farwell; three sons, Gail and Glen of Hereford and Jesse of Amarillo, and his mother, Mrs. Claudia Cash of Turlock, Calif.
Other survivors are three sisters, Oma Blevins of Turlock, Florance Price of Los Angeles and Opal Fair of St. Petersburg, F. and five brothers, Fayne of Hilmar, Calif., Bill of Turlock, Mart of Los Angeles, Ivan of St. Petersburg and Wayne of Kingman, Ariz.
