Jimmy Christie, 60, of Dallas died Friday, July 6, 2012.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Summerfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Ellis Parson officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. Sixth St., Hereford.

Mr. Christie grew up and lived in the Summerfield/Hereford area most of his life. He worked in farming and related businesses while also being very active in livestock shows.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Christie of Dallas; three sons, Kelly Christie of Chicago, Colby Christie of Haskell and Chad Christie of Dallas; four grandchildren, Madison Christie and Brayden Christie, both of McKinney, and Miah Kroker and Elyse Christie, both of Chicago; his parents, Kenneth and Dolores Christie of Granbury; a sister, Valerie Fellhauer of Hereford; nine nieces and nephews; and many other family members.

The family suggests memorials be to Summerfield Baptist Church, 605 Walnut St., Summerfield, TX 79085; or Jimmy Christie Showman's Scholarship Fund, 1100 N. Avenue K, Haskell, TX 79521.
