Lucy Fay Cocanougher, 82, of Hereford died Thursday, Feb. 8, 1990.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Steve McElroy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cocanougher, born in Claude, moved to Hereford in 1932. She was a graduate of West Texas State University. She married H.R. "Cap" Cocanoughter in 1934 at Claude. He died in December. She was a homemaker, teacher, and a Methodist.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Jean Gore of Amarillo and Elizabeth Ann Gore of Friona; a brother, Roy Brunson of Kingsland; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
