Woodrow Dutton, 86, formerly of Hereford, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Mercado officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Mr. Dutton was born Feb. 5, 1918, in Jones County, the son of John and Virginia Dutton. He married Mary Taylor in Anson, and moved to Hereford where he farmed for many years. Mr. Dutton was a veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a member of Hereford Temple Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Saundra Edmond and husband, Jeff, of Lake Tanglewood; three sons, Don Dutton and Bill Dutton and wife, Teresa, all of Hereford, and Frank Dutton of Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister, Marie Key of Midland; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106-1708.

Mary Opal Dutton, 89, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 21, 2010.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Jerry Billington officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in West Park Cemetery in Hereford.

Mrs. Dutton was born June 11, 1921, in Anson to Henry and Mary Lou Taylor. She was raised in Anson.

She married Woodrow Dutton on April 25, 1948, in Anson. He passed away in 2005.

She, along with her family, moved to Hereford in 1957, where she assisted her husband with their farming. She moved to Amarillo in 2003.

Mrs. Dutton was a homemaker. She loved being with her family, always providing treats for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, canning fresh vegetables, visiting and always had time for a card game or dominoes and the yearly trips to Zapata, where they would spend their winters and Woody would enjoy fishing.

Most of all, she loved being "Maw Maw" to her family. She was a longtime member of Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Kris Chesser and daughter Brooklyn, Debbie James, Helena Huskey, Delbert Toines, The Arbors, Amarillo Heart Group, BSA Hospice, and Dr. Marupudi and his staff for the wonderful care that they gave to Mrs. Dutton.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Saundra Sue Edmond and husband Jeff of Amarillo; three sons, Don Dutton of Arlington, Frank Dutton of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Bill Dutton and wife Teresa of Hereford; a sister, Ava Jewel Bradley of Abilene; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many friends across this great nation.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice and Life Enrichment, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
