Zee Ann Evans, 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Evans of Hereford, was fatally injured in an automobile crash near Amarillo Sunday.
Both her father and mother are Hardin-Simmons University graduates of 1940.
The girl died at 6 a.m. Monday in an Amarillo hospital of injuries suffered in a highway accident three miles south of Amarillo at 4 p.m. Sunday.
She was riding in a car with her parents and a brother, David Wayne, 8. The family was enroute to Amarillo at the time of the collision.
Mrs. Evans had superficial cuts and bruises. Mr. Evans and David Wayne were not seriously hurt.
Funeral for Zee Ann will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Hereford.
Mr. Evans is president of the Hardin-Simmons Ex-Students Association and a trustee of teh university. He operates the Hereford Implement Co. and has farm interests.
Mrs. Evans is the former Zona Horn of Abilene, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Horn. She is a sister of Mrs. E.T. Boyd, Ranger; H.B. Horn, Decatur; and Mrs. Harold Girdner of 1157 Palm St., Buster Horn of 1241 Hollis Drive, Hugh Horn of 1418 Ballinger St., J.R. Horn Jr. of 1242 North Sixth St. and Gene Horn of 3250 South 11th St., all of Abilene.
