Mrs. Garrett's funeral service is conducted

The funeral of Mrs. Ida Garrett, 74, of Westgate Unit at Kings Manor retirement home, was conducted Saturday afternoon in Rose Chapel of Gililland Funeral Home. J.T. Marlin, minister of Central Church of Christ, officiated.

Burial was in West Park Cemetery. Pall bearers were grandsons of Mrs. Garrett, who died Thursday afternoon at Westgate. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She had lived in Deaf Smith County since 1930, when she came from Fannin County. Born March 3, 1897, in Montague County, she married W.H. Garrett April 11, 1915 in Fannin County. He died in March of 1959.

Survivors are six sons, O.L. Garrett of Hereford, Raymond of Stratford, Okla., Dean of Altus, Okla., Edd of Bonham, Noel and Marvin of California; four daughters, Mrs. C.R. Blaneknship [sic], of Amarillo, Mrs. Henry Turner of Arlington, Mrs. Bonnie Craft and Mrs. L.C. Fricks who also live in California; and 24 grandchildren.
