Anita Gentry, 95, died early Tuesday morning, January 25, 2011, at her residence in Texico, NM.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, January 28, 2011, at West Park Cemetery, Hereford, TX.
Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. 6th Street, Hereford, Texas.
Anita was born September 25, 1915, in Hereford, TX, to Charles and Wenona (Arthur) Jowell. She married the love of her life, Robert K. Gentry on August 6, 1933, in Clovis, NM. Anita was a member of the Central Christian Church before it became the Trinity Fellowship Church in Hereford. She was also a member of the UTU (Railroad) Women's Auxiliary. She was a homemaker.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one son; Robert Charles (R.C.) Gentry and wife Bette of Texico, NM, 2 grandchildren; Cathi (Gentry) Johnson and Jennifer (Gentry) Stephens and 4 great grandchildren.
