Dick Gholson, 67, of Hereford died Friday, April 10, 1992.
Mr. Gholson was born in Honey Grove. He moved to Hereford 47 years ago from Wellington. He graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1941.
He married Seletta Robinson in 1947 in Clovis, NM
Before retiring, he owned and operated Dick's Auto for 37 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a prisoner of war in Germany and earned the Purple Heart Medal. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 0345, American Ex-Prisoners of War and Hereford Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Barbara Harrison of Dallas, Virginia Reeves of Tyler and Deborah Wiggins of Lubbock; a brother, W.H. Gholson of Quanah; two sisters, Ruth Rodriquez of San Antonio and Vera Scott of Quanah; and four grandchildren.
