HEREFORD - Rosalie Gilbreath, 88, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in Houston.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Valdez as celebrant. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors. Prayer vigil was at 7 p.m. Thursday in the church.
Mrs. Gilbreath was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Wilson, Okla., to Harry and Lanore Cummins Kribbs. She moved to Hereford in 1946 from Langley Field, Va., and was employed as a registered nurse. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Slaughter of Katy and Elizabeth McIntire of Stafford; a stepdaughter, Peggy Curtis of Hobbs, N.M.; two sisters, Mary Jane Burrus of Hereford and Harriett Morrison of Pampa; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030-4123.
