HEREFORD - Tommy Hickman, 73, died Thursday, March 23, 2006.

Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Peach and the Rev. Bobby Starling officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Masonic graveside rites will be provided by Hereford Masonic Lodge No. 849 AF&AM.

Mr. Hickman was born Aug. 24, 1932, in Dickens, the son of Silas and Clem Hickman. He married Melba Dobson on Dec. 15, 1956, in Crosbyton. Mr. Hickman retired with the Texas Department of Transportation after 29 years of service, was a member of the Hereford Masonic Lodge No. 849 AF&AM, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Hereford Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Survivors include his wife Melba of Hereford; two sons, Dennis and Tommy Jr., both of Hereford; a daughter-in-law, Kelly of Hereford; two brothers, William Hickman of Crosbyton and J.P. Hickman of Lorenzo; five sisters, Maggie Griffin of Crosbyton, Jimmie Wilkinson of Menard, Ruby Wisley of Tulsa, Okla., Wanda Dobson of Longview and Mary Nell Griffin of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Christa Webb of Vega, Candace Dewbre and Cory Dewbre, both of Hereford, and Tiffiane Garvin of Tahoka; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Hereford Masonic Lodge No. 849, P.O. Box 224, Hereford, TX 79045.

HEREFORD - Melba Hickman, 70, died Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m. today in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home in Hereford with the Rev. James Peach officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hickman was born Dec. 7, 1939, in Crosbyton to Frank and Leola Dobson. She was a member of Frio Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime was visiting with her many friends.

Melba married Tommy Hickman on Dec. 15, 1956, in Crosbyton. She didn't need a job outside the home because her two sons were the "job of a lifetime."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy; five sisters; and a brother.

Survivors include her sons, Tommy Hickman and Dennis Dewbre and wife Kelly, all of Hereford; four grandchildren, Tiffanie Garvin and husband Daniel of Lubbock, Christa Webb and husband Kevin of Mangum, Okla., Candice Esqueda and husband Cameron of Amarillo, and Cory Dewbre of Hereford; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family request memorials be to Frio Baptist Church, 322 FM 1055, Hereford, TX 79045
