Claude Hicks, 62, of Hereford, died Saturday.

Services were held Monday afternoon at graveside in West Park Cemetery, under direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. The Rev. Lanny Wheeler, chaplain of Kings Manor, officiated.

Mr. Hicks, a native of Canyon, came to Deaf Smith County as a child. He married Jessie Ann Gray in 1957 at Westway. She died in 1966. He was a mechanic for MW Carrot. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Methodist.

Survivors are a son, Ken Hicks of Amarillo; three brothers, Edward Hicks and Douglas Hicks of Amarillo and Leo Hicks of Dallas, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Ann Hicks, 26, of Adrian, Texas were held June 16 at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church by the Rev. B.J. Foster, Adrian Methodist pastor. Mrs. Hicks died June 13 in Hereford, Texas.

She was born Feb. 14, 1940, in Marble, Ark. She moved with her parents to Texas in 1946 and married Claud Hicks, Aug. 30, 1957 at Westway.

He survives her with a son, Kenneth Claud; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Head of Hereford, two sisters and two brothers.

Burial was in West Park Cemetery, directed by Gililland Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hicks was a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dick Cain, of Marble.
