HEREFORD - Alberta Higgins, 92, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church of Hereford with the Rev. Roy Cleve Keith, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Paducah, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Higgins was born in 1913 in Ellis County. In 1939, she married A.B. "Hap" Higgins.

Survivors include her children, LuAnne Black of Paducah, Janis Gordon of Panama City, Fla., and Robert Higgins and Mike Higgins, both of Hereford; two sisters, Billie Louise Durkee of Amarillo and Kathryn Acton of Hereford; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Odyssey Health Care, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101; or Deaf Smith County Library, 211 E. Fourth Ave., Hereford, TX 79045.
