Clifford "Cliff" Eugene Higgins, 62, of Amarillo died Friday, June 28, 2013.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Scott Davey, associate pastor of Grace Church Calvary Chapel, officiating. Burial will be in Westpark Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Cliff was born Aug. 29, 1950, in Hereford to Charles Rex and Alta Mae Higgins. He married Jeana Barouch on Feb. 14, 1972, in Bippus Church in the country. Cliff retired three years ago as an assistant train master after a 41-year career with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. He served as a volunteer and assistant fire chief with Timbercreek Fire Department and was a member of Grace Church Calvary Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Jeana; a daughter, Jessica of Albuquerque, N.M.; and his mother, Alta Mae of Hereford.

The family suggests memorials be to Timbercreek Volunteer Fire Department, 201 S. Timbercreek Drive, Amarillo, TX 79118; or a favorite charity.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
