HEREFORD - Eduardo "Lalo" Holguin, 22, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, in Amarillo.
Prayer vigil was recited at 7 p.m. Monday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. today in La Iglesia de San Jose with the Rev. David Contreras, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mr. Holguin was born Aug. 31, 1985, in Artesia, N.M., to Jaime and Sophia Marquez Holguin. He had been a Hereford resident for four years and was a cowboy for several area feed yards.
Survivors include his wife, Monica; a son, Bryan Anthony Holguin of Hereford; a daughter, Leslie Ann Holguin of Hereford; his parents, Jaime Holguin of Cactus and Sophia Gonzales of Roswell, N.M.; a sister, Rebecca Holguin of Roswell; and a brother, Jaime Holguin Jr. of Roswell.
The family suggests memorials be to Odyssey Hospice, 6900 W. Interstate 40, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
