HEREFORD — Eric Horton, 28, of Hereford died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, in Georgetown.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Bushart, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford.

Eric Christopher Horton was born May 20, 1986, in Edmond, Okla., to Micheal Lane and Amy Carnahan Horton. They moved to Hereford from Edmond in 1992. He went all through school in Hereford, graduating from Hereford High School in 2005. Eric was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hereford.

He worked for as a foreman for Canfer Utility Services for more than two years. He was loved by all, very dedicated to his family and friends. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tommy Carnahan; two uncles, Phillip and David Carnahan; and his great-grandmother, Gussie Hawley.

Survivors include Chelsey and Conner Stone of Georgetown; a son, Kane Horton of Edmond; his parents, Amy Scott and husband Jay of Hereford and Lane Horton and wife Pat of Oklahoma City; a brother, Jerrod Horton and wife Leslie of Austin; a sister, Jamy Scott of Lubbock; and his grandmothers, Margaret Carnahan of Hereford and Sharon Horton of Edmond.
