Helen L. Hutcheon, 84, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church with Dr. James Cobb, Dr. John Bridwell, Dr. Doug Skinner and Dr. Harold Cline, ministers of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in West Park Cemetery in Hereford by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Hutcheon was born in Artesia, N.M. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1937. She was a secretary for Glazer Wholesale Drug Co. for more than 35 years.

She was a longtime member of First Christian Church, where she served as secretary of the General Board and taught in the kindergarten department for 25 years. She also was a member of the Ruth Circle.

Survivors include several cousins including Bill J. and Jo Ann Howard of Quanah and Nelda and Paul Henden of Burleson.

The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church Endowment Fund, Hearing Aid Fund or Library Fund, 3001 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, TX 79109.
