HEREFORD - Terry K. Kirby, 65, formerly of Hereford, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in West Park Cemetery with the Rev. Lemuel Salik officiating. Arrangements are by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home of Abilene.
Mr. Kirby was born in Clovis, N.M., grew up in Hereford, and attended West Texas State University in Canyon. In 1971, he moved to Abilene, where he worked as a real estate property manager.
A 32nd degree mason in the Hereford Masonic Lodge, he was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest in Abilene, the Holiday Ramblers Trailer Club, and was a Life Master Tournament Bridge player.
He married Jane Houston in 1954 at Hereford.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Alisa Brown of Killingworth, Conn.; a son, Terry Kirby of Bastrop; a stepmother, Vivia Kirby of Hereford; and three grandsons.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to the American Lung Association of Texas, P.O. Box 26460, Austin, TX 78755-0460; or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 41, Abilene, TX 79604.
