Mary was born March 6, 1927, in Ford, Kan., to William and Velma Henry. She grew up on the family farm near Ford and graduated from Ford High School.

Dave and Mary made their home on the farm southeast of Booker, Texas, where they raised their family. She was a farmer's wife and had very large vegetable gardens. Mary later worked for several years as a cook at Booker schools.

Dave and Mary moved to Shattuck in 1987. She worked at Good Samaritan Funeral Home for several years and was a "Pink Lady" at Newman Memorial Hospital. Mary also was a member of Calico Club and First United Methodist Church of Shattuck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, in 2001; her parents; four brothers, Lewis, Charlie, Bud and Bob; a special brother-in-law, Willie Meier; and a great-grandson, Ethan Grey Meier, in 2004.
