Ygnacio Lemus
October 20, 1918 - March 22, 2014

HEREFORD — Ygnacio Lemus, 95, of Hereford died Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Amarillo.

Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m. today in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Jessie Salazar, a family member, officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. Sixth St., in Hereford.

Ygnacio was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Mexico to Agapito and Florence Lopez Lemus. Ygnacio married Modema Salazar Lemus on July 31, 1949, in Hereford.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Daniel Lemus of Pennsylvania and Adam Lemus of Lubbock; 10 daughters, Berta Rangel of Mexico, Maria Elena Losolla of Hereford, Theresa Guzman of Lubbock, Lydia Rodriquez of The Colony, Anna Moreno of Hereford, Florence Lopez of Midland, Pearl Garza of Hereford, Linda Cortez of Malta, N.Y., Irene Morales of Hereford and Eve Delgado of Hereford; three sisters, Ernestina Lemus, Consuelo Lemus, and Vicenta Lemus, all of Mexico; 45 grandchildren, 72 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to a charity of choice.
