Mrs. McLellan Is Taken By Death
Mrs. E.B. McLellan, 74, died Tuesday at the Deaf Smith County Hospital of a heart attack. Mrs. McLellan had been a patient in the hospital for 12 days.
She was born June 3, 1881 close to Whiteright, Bonham County, and she married E.B. McLellan Aug. 6, 1902 in Bonham County.
Mrs. McLellan and her husband moved to Friona in 1923 and in 1935 they moved to Hot Springs, N.M. Then in 1950, the moved to Los Angeles, Calif., and lived there until 1952, when they moved back to Hot Springs, N.M. They came to Deaf Smith County in 1954.
She is survived by her husband, E.B. McLellan; one son, S.L. McLellan of Friona; two daughters, Mrs. Cleo Houston of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Marguerite Porter of Hereford; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are pending at the Gililland Funeral Home, upon the return of her daughter, Mrs. Cleo Houston, who is en route to her home in Los Angeles, Calif.
