HEREFORD (Special) - Services for M.C. Moody, 74, of Westway Community will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Smith & Co. Pioneer Chapel here with Bob Wear of the Central Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will be in West Park Cemetery in Hereford under direction of Smith & Co. Funeral Home.

Moody died at 6 p.m. Saturday at Deaf Smith Hospital.

Born in Shoshone, Idaho, he had lived in Hereford for a year, moving here from Lawson, Ark. He was a retired zinc miner and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Dessie: a son, Mark of Alamogordo, N.M.; three daughters, Edna Harvey, Yvonne Massey and June Rudd, all of Hereford; a brother, George of Gooding, Idaho; two sisters, Maude Moody of Boise, Idaho and Edna Heward of Ashton, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

HEREFORD - Dessie H. Moody, 93, died Thursday, April 4, 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Randy Dickson, branch president, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford.

Mrs. Moody was born Oct. 21, 1908, in Allen.

Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Vandever and June Rudd, both of Hereford; a stepdaughter, Edna Harvey of Bonnerdale, Ark.; a stepson, Mark Moody of South Jordan, Utah; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Hereford Senior Citizens or Crown of Texas Hospice.
