Mr. Isaac Reed, aged 66 yrs, died at his home near Battle at 6 a.m. yesterday. His funeral will take place at 2 p.m. to-day. Mr. Reed was an honored citizen of his section. His death was rather sudden. He was in his usual health of Fri. That morning he was taken down with something like a congestionn and yesterday morning he died. He was a bachelor, of thirty habits, and was much respected by all his neighbors. Benton Co Democrat - Oct 22 1891 - Mr. Reed was the uncle of Mrs. Levo O Woods and Mrs. Geo Jefferson of this place, besides, he had many acquaintances and old comrades in this County with whom he served honorably in the Confederate Army. One by one the old soldiers are passing away but we have consolation in believing the good and the brave will live again. Benton Co - Democrat - Oct 22 1891.
