HEREFORD - Rudolpho "Rudy" Moreno, 54, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006.

Mass will be at 2 p.m. today in La Iglesia de San Jose with the Rev. David Contreras officiating. Burial with military honors conducted by the Hereford High School JRROTC will be in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral Directors.

Mr. Moreno was born Oct. 10, 1951, Hereford to Jesus Moreno and Omega Valdez Moreno. He joined the U.S. Army in 1969, serving in Vietnam.

Survivors include three sons, Rudy Moreno Jr. of Amarillo, B.J. Moreno of Dallas and Vincent Moreno of Phoenix; four daughters, Melissa Moreno, Patricia Moreno and Candice Moreno, all of Dallas, and Bernadette Moreno of Phoenix; his mother of Phoenix; a sister, Elma Camarillo of Amarillo; a brother, Jerry Moreno; and a special aunt/mother, Nancy Mata of Hereford.
