Funeral services for W.F. Orr, 59, former resident of Hereford, were held from the Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon, Feb. 6, at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J.C. Thorns, assisted by Rev. W.E. Barnes.

Coming to Hereford in 1905, Mr. Orr operated a barber shop here until five years ago, when he sold out to J.H. Brooks, who still operates the shop in the same location. Since that time, Mr. Orr has been located at Farwell, Texas, where he continued as a barber.

He was born August 30, 1878, in Mississippi, and died at Clovis, February 5, 1938, following an illness of a week.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and had many friends here who mourn his death. During his residence here, Mr. Orr was active in community affairs and was buried here, because he always felt that Hereford was his home.

Mr. Orr is survived by his widow, Mrs. Effie Orr of Farwell; two sons, Jim and Milton Orr of Clovis; Mrs. Roy Jowell of Hereford, and a daughter in Phoenix, Arizona.

Pall bearers were Boyd London, J.H. Brooks, Chris Renfro, Geo. LeGrand, Roger Corbett and Frank Marrs.

Interment was made in West Park Cemetery.
