F. D. Perkins, 88 years old, Deaf Smith county farmer for more than 30 years, died at the Deaf Smith County hospital Monday night after a long illness.

Mr. Perkins was a member of the Methodist Church. He was born in Massachussetts [sic], and moved to Hereford with his family from Shenandoah, Iowa.

Funeral arrangements are being delayed pending word from his daughter, Mrs. E.T. Books, who is in the Scott-White Hospital in Temple where she had just undergone an operation.

Mr. Perkins is also survived by a son, C.F. Perkins, of Shenandoah, Iowa.
