Funeral services for John R. Wood will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Church of Christ. Bob Wear will officiate at the service.
The body will lie in state at the Church of Christ from 10 a.m. until 3 o'clock.
Wood, who has been a Hereford resident for about 15 years, had been in a Cleveland hospital for about 10 days. He was taken to Cleveland from Amarillo after suffering a heart attack on November 26.
Wood was the Massey-Harris and Studebaker dealer in Hereford until about a year ago when he retired to devote his time to farming.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Martha Wood; a son, john Wood, Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. Coy Patton, Hereford and Mrs. Warren Tanner, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Kincannon and Mrs. Elliott Billingslea of Lubbock, and Mrs. Eunice Hayes of Cincinnati, Ohio; and his step-mother, Mrs. John W. Wood, Lubbock.
