Parnell Jack Christian, a Waco gravel truck driver, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 76.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Connally-Compton West Waco Drive Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Smith officiating. Burial will be at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Christian was born Feb. 26, 1914 in Mart. He was a World War II veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a Mason.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie Ruth Tate of Lake Palestine, a son, Bobby Wayne Christian of Waco; a brother Addie J. Christian of Dallas; four sisters, Blanche Strickland of Van, Mildred Bass of Dallas, and Mae Belle McGaughy and Gladys Hawkins, both of Mart; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
