I Shall Not Want

*Obituary
The many friends of Ed Witherspoon, who has been a long sufferer from consumption, were pained to hear of his demise on Friday morning last. Mr. Withershoon [sic] came to Hereford a little over a year ago from Cedar Hill, Dallas county, for the benefit of his health. He seemed gradually to improve for a time, but the disease had become too deeply rooted and last fall he began to decline and gradually grew worse until the end came.
Mr. Witherspoon was about twenty-three years of age and is survived by a brother, Oscar Witherspoon, and a sister, Miss Lena, and with whom he had lived since coming to Hereford. The bereaved brother and sister have the heart-felt sympathy of the entire community in their irreparable loss.
Funeral services were held from the family residence on Saturday, Rev. H.M. Bandy officiating. Interment took place in the Hereford cemetery.
