HEREFORD - James Perry Reeves, 92, died Sunday, July 16, 2006.
Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Mr. Reeves' son, Earl Reeves, and Donnie Fangman officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves was born Oct. 10, 1913, in Belcherville to Benjamin Franklin and Emma Vernon Reeves. He married Ellen Vernon on Oct. 20, 1942, in Detroit.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Reeves Taway of California; a son, Earl Reeves of Hereford; a sister, Idotha Poling of Amarillo; two brothers, Charlie Reeves of Arizona and B.F. Reeves of Colorado; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the Hereford Senior Citizen Center, 426 Ranger, Hereford, TX 79045 or a favorite charity.
