Revs. Don Davidson and R.H. Cagle conducted final rites for Mrs. Gano May Rettman, 53, who died Monday at Deaf Smith Hospital, at the First Methodist Church Wednesday.
Mrs. Rettman lived at 100 K Street in Hereford. Her husband, C.A. Rettman, is a farmer.
The Rettmans came to Texas after their marriage in Kansas in 1921. They came to Hereford in 1944 from Wichita County, Texas. She was born May 17, 1896 in Kansas.
She is survived by three daughters and three sons. Daughters are Lois Rettman, Viola Rettman and Mrs. Vera Cole. Sons are Paul Rettman, Alvin Rettmann [sic], and David Rettman. All live in Hereford.
Pallbearers were Robert Thompson, Obey Carraway, Norman Gray, Cawthorn Bryant and Jimmy Allred.
Gilliland Funeral Home of Hereford had charge of services. Burial was in West Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Carl Rettmann [sic], the former Miss Gano Staley, passed away in Hereford, Texas, last week. Gano, sister of Geo. Staley, was born and reared in this vicinity and was a graduate of Altoona high school. Geo. Staley and son, Merton, Chas. Rettman and Irvin Gibson, cousins of Mr. Rettman, attended services and burial in Texas. Many friends extend sincere sympathy to her relatives.
