Jewel Gilbreath Rhodes, 87, of Alamogordo, N.M., died Thursday, March 1, 1990 in Bayfield, Colo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Rose Chapel at Gililland-Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. O.L. Knowlton, retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery.

She was born May 1, 1902 in Castro County. She married Lloyd H. Rhodes in 1924 in Hereford. He preceded her in death in 1959. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Rhodes of Bayfield, Colo., and Jeff Rhodes of Alamogordo; a daughter, Browny Lou Otto, of Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, J.T. Gilbreath, Jr. of Hereford, J.C. Gilbreath of Dimmitt, and Woodrow Gilbreath of Hereford; three sisters, Lucille Posey of Hereford, Sally Kirby of Las Cruces, N.M., and Lois Petersen of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the San Juan Hospice, Durango, Colo.
