Mrs. Olivett (Ollie) Walker, 90, of Slaton, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Lakeside Rehab Center. Mrs. Ollie Walker was born on November 28, 1918 in Bryan, Texas to Ollie Williams and Etta (Thomas) Williams.

She was a member of the Triumph Baptist Church for over 50 years. She participated in the choir and the missionary society, and was a Sunday School teacher and a leader of the youth.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Marilyn Jennings (Edward), Kenneth Walker (Linda), and Cindy Wilson; seven grandchildren, Terrence, Alpha, Fiona, Aaron, Lawrance II (P.J.), Megan, and Lashard; three great-grandchildren: Jazelle, Jacobian, and Laniyah; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Triumph Baptist Church in Slaton. Burial will follow at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
