M S Roe Rites Are Scheduled At 4 Thursday
Morris Sheppard Roe, 210 Ave C, died in Deaf Smith County Hospital Monday after a short illness. The funeral is planned for 4 p.m. today in the Rose Chapel of Gililland Funeral Home with burial to follow in West Park Cemetery.
The Rev. Eugene Naugie, Methodist minister will conduct the service. Named as pallbearers are R.F. Lee, Jerry Robinson, Jerry Landers, P.B. Sowell, N.D. Bartlett and Pat Webb.
Born Aug. 29, 1912 in Alvarado, Mr. Roe came to Deaf Smith County in January 1929 from Plainview.
He is survived by three sons, Windell Roe of Hereford, Monty, who lives in New Mexico and Edsel in South Dakota; three sisters, Mrs. Vina Edmonson of Hereford, Mrs. Ora Odam of Quanah and Mrs. Lela Williams of Los Angeles; three brothers, Lloyd Roe of Groom, Tom of Ardmore, Okla. and F.A. Roe of San Pablo, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
