HEREFORD - Daniel Sanchez, 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009.
Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Iglesia Catolica de San Jose with the Rev. David Contreras officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery with military honors by the Hereford High School JROTC unit.
Mr. Sanchez was born June 17, 1934, in Sweetwater, the son of Nicholas and Tomasa Sanchez. He was a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Sanchez was a retired welder, having worked for Hamby's in Hereford for many years, and was a member of Iglesia Catolica de San Jose in Hereford.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Francisca; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Baseliza Carrasco; two sons, Rick Sanchez of Clovis, N.M., and Daniel Sanchez Jr. of Arlington; three daughters, Otilia Otero of Andrews, Tomasa Garcia of Rosenberg and Gloria Martinez of Hereford; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

HEREFORD - Francis L. Sanchez, 66, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002.
Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Genesis Church of Hereford. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery of Hereford.
Mrs. Sanchez was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Midland, the daughter of Emiliano and Expectacion Losolla. She married Daniel Sanchez on March 17, 1951.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Rick Sanchez of New Mexico; two daughters, Otilia Otero of Andrews and Gloria Martinez of Lafayette, Ark.; three brothers, Roman Losolla, Mike Losolla and Joe Losolla, all of Hereford; two sisters, Pato Cabeira of Odessa and Cassy Benavides of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
