Wife of Jacob B Wendel
Services for Patsy Mosley Wendel, 73, of Slaton will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery, under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Patsy was born on Sept. 19, 1935 in Slaton and passed from this life on Sept. 16, 2009. She was a life long resident of Slaton, graduating from Slaton High School in 1954. Patsy married Jake Wendel on May 29, 1952 in Slaton. She was a member of Slaton's First United Methodist Church, the Women's Division of Slaton Chamber of Commerce and co-owner and manager of the 82nd St. Radio Lab. Patsy was an avid bowler in the Goodtimers Bowling League, bridge player and world traveler. She was preceded in death by a son, William Alan Wendel, in 1955.
Her survivors include her husband, Jake of Slaton; daughters, Lynne and husband Cliff Stewart of Dallas, Dana and husband Jake Weber of Plano and Donna and husband Eric Edwards of Flower Mound; sisters, Nancy Norman of Slaton and Billie Ann Moats of Eunice, N.M.; and grandchildren, John and Michael Griffith, Amber and Jason Weber and Cameron and Lauren Edwards.
