A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Rosa Flores age 74 of Welch, TX. at 10:00 a.m.
Monday August 17, 2020 with limited gathering at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Please, you must wear a face mask during the church service. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety.

Viewing will be held on Monday August 17, 2020 starting at 9:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.

Rosa passed away on Friday August 14, 2020 in Welch, T. She was born on May 27, 1946 in Rowena, TX. Rosa married Fidencio Flores on February 9, 1969 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lamesa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Yrineo and Teodora Gaitan.

Rosa was a wife and homemaker until her passing. Considered by her family as a “Strong Woman of Faith!”. Mamo was a devoted “Dawson Dragon Fan”. She was proud of her collection of Elvis memorabilia, garden farm animals, and cat figurines. She love playing Loteria with her family and making memories with her great grandbabies.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Fidencio Flores of Welch, TX.; her son, Felipe Flores and wife Cameo Flores of Lubbock, TX.; her daughters, Dora Espinosa of Welch, TX., and Flora Esparza and husband Adolfo Esparza of Lubbock, TX.; brothers, Lupe Gaitan of Welch, TX., and Freddie Gaitan of Plainview, TX.; sisters, Ramona Garcia of San Angelo, TX., and Estella Cortez of Lamesa, TX.; grandchildren, Iliana and Anaili Esparza of Lubbock, TX., Samantha and Joshua Espinosa of Welch, TX., and Emma and Jonah Flores of Lubbock, TX.; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Catalina, and Elijah Torres of Levelland, TX., and Santiago De La O of Lubbock, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.

Pallbearers, Adam Ybarra, Michael Rivas, AJ Rivas, Diego Torres, Valentin Luera, and Adolfo Esparza.Honorary pallbearers, Felipe Flores, and Jonah Flores.
