Ramona Garcia, 64, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday November 21, 2020 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday November 28, 2020 in Seagraves. Burial will follow at the Seagraves Cemetery. Ramona will be available for viewing on Friday November 27, 2020 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Ramona was born on August 31, 1956 in Mexico. She married her husband, David on April 5, 1975 in Seagraves; they were high school sweethearts. Ramona was an avid reader and enjoyed music and dancing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, singing to them and getting together with her family. Ramona was a good cook and enjoyed hosting her family in her home. Ramona always enjoyed her pink roses that her husband planted for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Brit and Virginia Hassell.
Survivors include her husband, David Garcia of the home; two sons, Jason Garcia of Plainview and Jeremy Garcia and his wife Brynne of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; Celicity, Savannah, Mackenzye, Jakoby, Addyson, Nathaniel, Brooklyn and Taylor; one great grandchild, Ezekiel; cousin, Jose Casas and his wife Fernanda whom she was very close. Survivors also include her half brothers and sisters and extended family and close friends.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff at BSA Hospital, especially the nurses and doctors in the Emergency room. The care and compassion they all received will never be forgotten.
