HEREFORD - Evelyn Thomasson, 70, died Friday, March 16, 2007.
Celebration of life services were at 3 p.m. Monday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Shultz officiating. Burial was in West Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomasson was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Chester, Ill. the daughter of Tower B. and Emma Thomasson. Her early years were spent in Mounds, Ill., and after graduating from college she went to work as a medical lab technician and was employed by The City Hospital of Beaumont for more than 35 years. She recently moved to Hereford to live in a cottage at King's Manor Retirement Systems.
Survivors include a sister, Barbra Fry and husband Stan Sr. of Hereford; two nephews, Dr. Stan Fry Jr. and wife Beckie of Hereford, and Edward Fry of Houston; three nieces, Sandy Stretcher of Port Neches, Vickie Thomasson of Richmond, Va., and Patricia Thomasson of Carbondale, Ill.
The family suggests memorials be to King's Manor Methodist Retirement Home, 400 Ranger Drive, Hereford, TX 79045.
